My perfect day includes a yummy latte and a lovely adventure with a dear old friend. And that is exactly how this day went. Sometimes the best adventures are the spontaneous ones with no set plans. The only thing that was certain was that I had a full tank of gas and an open mind to how the day might go. Of course all of these added up to us driving to LA for Urth caffe, a ton of photos and the Griffith Observatory for sunset.
I mean... it's trendy/cute and there's good food! That's a win, win in my book.
When preparing for a spontaneous day, which is ironic because how do you prepare for something that is not planned..? Well anyways, the first thing that I grab when figuring out an outfit is my favorite hat. This hat is my baby! I discovered it last summer while I was visiting family in New Hampshire. It was looked over by so many people at this random second hand shop that I strolled into with my cousin. I ran to it when I saw it and almost died and went to heaven. The shop owner said that they've had it up for sale for so long that they had to drop the price because no one was buying it. It was fate. I wear this beauty far too often. I should probably find another hat that I love as much, but that has yet to happen.
In my mind, spontaneous adventures mean a long, drawn out day until the stars are visible and traffic is gone for the drive back home. I love fashion and I love creating new outfits, but I also appreciate being comfortable. I have plenty of outfits that are perfect for a few hours but they always have a breaking point. I knew this was going to be a long day, so I decided to go with a more laid back look. My hat always adds a little extra flare to any outfit and it pulled this LA look together quite nicely.
