Freight Hopper2/26/2016 I love Brixton hats, all of them. I own just about all of the hats that they put out on the market. So when my best friend (Maddie) told me that her uncle, who works for Brixton, gave her a handful of hats that she didn't want and that I can have them, my first thought was, are you crazy?!? How would you not want them?! Well Maddie is not a hat wearer, even though I tell her time and time again that they look so cute on her! This hat was one of the many that she handed me that day. I usually don't buy hats of this style, but I found it to be fun challenge to style this one and wear it with an outfit that embodies the true nature of this hat. It was exciting to dig through my closet and find an outfit that I believe gives this tom boy cap a feminine twist, while still sticking to the same color palette. Enjoy! ABOUT THE BAG: There's an interesting story behind this bag. It's actually an old bank's money bag that my ex and I found at a thrift store. It was in beautiful condition, made of leather and the top hinges open perfectly just like it was made yesterday. We saw it and we were so inspired to give it a new life. We ended up buying an old blue belt with matching stitching from that same thrift store for the straps of the bag. I wish that I could say that I know how to sew and that I was the one to assemble this, unfortunately that is not the case. I have zero sewing skills (sad, I know) so naturally my ex took the bag to his family's manufacturing company and gave the bag to one of the workers to use on their high tech sewing machines and it was done in seconds. There is no way that those straps will ever come off. So now I have a unique bag that was formally a money bag for a bank and it's the best thing ever. GET THE LOOK:
