Warby Parker3/5/2016 When I first heard of Warby Parker and their business plan I thought it was too good to be true. I've had to wear glasses for as long as I can remember and unfortunately it's not something I've been very happy about. So when the opportunity came for me to wear contacts in 8th grade I was over joyed. It wasn't until recently that I wanted to have a pair of stylish glasses that I could wear on days that I didn't feel like wearing my contacts. Don't get me wrong, I love my contacts so I've been renewing them every year especially since purchasing glasses and contacts can get pretty pricey, sometimes up to $500. That's what I love about Warby Parker! They're only $95 for the frame and lens, which is ridiculously cheap. On top of that, they also do a 5 day trial. You pick out 5 frames off their website that you like and they ship the frames to you (for free!). Once you receive the frames you have 5 days to try them on and get opinions from friends and family. To be honest, I did 3 trials before I found a pair that a lot of people agreed looked best on the shape of my face. And that's also the beauty of it, you can do as many trials as you'd like until you're completely confident about the frame that you end up purchasing! The frame and lens that they send you in the end is 10x better than the trial frames. The trial frames are meant to give you a feel for what the shape looks like on your face. I ended up choosing the Baker frames in the striped sassafras shell and I couldn't be happier. With all of their options available and a free trial, I'm positive that everyone could find a frame that they like. What's also great about Warby Parker is that with every pair of glasses bought, another pair is distributed to someone in need around the world. I'm already looking into buying another pair, that's how cute and cheap they are! Thanks for reading! I hope you check out Warby Parker if you're in need of some new glasses! They won't disappoint.

Freight Hopper2/26/2016 I love Brixton hats, all of them. I own just about all of the hats that they put out on the market. So when my best friend (Maddie) told me that her uncle, who works for Brixton, gave her a handful of hats that she didn't want and that I can have them, my first thought was, are you crazy?!? How would you not want them?! Well Maddie is not a hat wearer, even though I tell her time and time again that they look so cute on her! This hat was one of the many that she handed me that day. I usually don't buy hats of this style, but I found it to be fun challenge to style this one and wear it with an outfit that embodies the true nature of this hat. It was exciting to dig through my closet and find an outfit that I believe gives this tom boy cap a feminine twist, while still sticking to the same color palette. Enjoy! ABOUT THE BAG: There's an interesting story behind this bag. It's actually an old bank's money bag that my ex and I found at a thrift store. It was in beautiful condition, made of leather and the top hinges open perfectly just like it was made yesterday. We saw it and we were so inspired to give it a new life. We ended up buying an old blue belt with matching stitching from that same thrift store for the straps of the bag. I wish that I could say that I know how to sew and that I was the one to assemble this, unfortunately that is not the case. I have zero sewing skills (sad, I know) so naturally my ex took the bag to his family's manufacturing company and gave the bag to one of the workers to use on their high tech sewing machines and it was done in seconds. There is no way that those straps will ever come off. So now I have a unique bag that was formally a money bag for a bank and it's the best thing ever. GET THE LOOK:

Free People X Fernando2/16/2016 Wow, wow, wow! I love having creative friends like Fernando. His photos blow me away every time and every photo adventure with him is nothing close to boring. It usually ends at the top of a building in LA (totally illegal) or chasing fog on the side of a busy freeway. This day was no exception. Enjoy some rad photos that he took while I sported my favorite lace up Free People top and thrifted structured hat. Check out his Instagram too for some more awesome photos @fernando.co

Faux Suede Skirt & Shaggy Shall2/6/2016 Lately I have been loving all the neutral pieces in my closet. You don't always need a pop of color or a dramatic piece to put together a sophisticated and stylish look. This skirt!!!! These button up a-line suede skirts are everywhere right now, so of course I had to hunt down one for myself. When putting together this neutral ensemble, I started with this skirt. I wanted to incorporate it and make it the focal point since these skirts are very on trend right now. These camel lace-up Jeffrey Campbell boots have been my favorite for quite some time now. I snagged them up from the sale section at Urban Outfitters, but I know Jeffrey Campbell still sells these boots and similar ones in stores like Anthropologie, Nordstrom and Free People. The heel is the perfect height and once they're broken in, they're actually pretty comfortable. To really bring this outfit together I added this super shaggy, blanket like shall that I found at a thrift store, but it's originally from Forever 21. It's a perfect extra layer for days that are a little colder or if your outfit just needs more dimension to it. And of course I just had to wear another comfy turtle neck and one of my favorite Brixton hats.

Versatile Two Piece Set1/30/2016 I'm sure everyone's been noticing the two piece sets that have recently been popping up in most retail stores. The higher end brands like Free People and For Love and Lemons have released some beautiful, but not very affordable versions of these laced sets. The price tag might make you run in the opposite direction when admiring these beautiful pieces, but luckily these sets can be very versatile. Worn together as a set these are meant for fancy events, such as a wedding, but when you wear the pieces separate and pair them with clothes that are in your closet already you can get a very different look. I'm wearing a two piece set that I found at Nordstrom Rack from Free People. Since I am a full time college student, and I work for everything I own, I usually try to find affordable clothing pieces that can be staples in my wardrobe. When I found this set at Nordstrom Rack I about died and went to heaven. I have been eyeing these two piece sets for quite sometime and I knew it would make a perfect blog post. With this versatile two piece set, I put together three different looks. The first one is the actual set and what I would pair with it. It's a very simple look because the main focus is the beautiful lace details. I didn't want any chunky necklaces or overly detailed shoes to take away from that. It needed a pop of color so I decided to use this yellow bag that I found at a second hand shop two summers ago in Pennsylvania. The two strap, simple black heels are seriously so comfortable. I love these heels and it took me awhile to find a pair that I could use for everyday outfits. They're the perfect height and color. These were a TJ Maxx find from awhile ago but I know these shoes are sold almost anywhere. The details for the two other looks will be below. I kept the Free People skirt on for this outfit. This look would be perfect for a casual date or a fun shopping day downtown with some friends. Stripes are one basic that I can't seem to get away from. I find myself constantly buying tops with stripes, so don't be surprised if you see a large amount of stripes in my outfit posts. This black and white striped, long sleeved crop top is from Zara. Once again, this look needed a pop of color so I grabbed my red Steve Madden bag that I actually bought for my trip to Europe. It's not one of my everyday bags, but it's still a great way to add some color to any outfit. My statement silver necklace is from Forever 21 and my flats are another Nordstrom Rack find by Lucky Brand. And of course I had to stop and get my favorite iced vanilla latte from Augie's Coffee House in Downtown Riverside. Which ended up being a great idea because it matched my outfit quite nicely! I kept on the Free People crop top for this look. I threw on my favorite High Top converse, added my distressed Brandy Melville backpack and some thrifted high waisted shorts. To finish off this look I added some stacked arm candy for a little more detail, but overall it's a simple and easy look with this beautiful, laced crop top.
